Sylvia Rhor, Professor of Art History and current Director of Art at Carlow University, has brought yet another beautiful art exhibit to the University Commons. The gallery, open now through December 9, 2016, features the works of activist and artist Vanessa German, Pittsburgh poet Peter Oresick (who unfortunately passed away Saturday, September 3, 2016), and Pittsburgh composite artist and photographer Christopher Ruane. The theme of the exhibit is “Illuminations.”

Rhor loves this exhibit because it “springboards off of Carlow’s Mercy values,” and “deals with Catholic icons and social justice issues.” Students, staff, and the general public can visit and enjoy the exhibit on the second floor of the University Commons (room 203) Monday through Thursday, 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Friday 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
