Strong Women, Strong Girls (SWSG) is an organization designed to empower young girls to aspire for a bigger and brighter future than girls have historically been able to imagine for themselves. SWSG does this through spending time with the girls, introducing them to strong female role models, and teaching them how to treat themselves and the girls around them in a healthy way.
Carlow students are working to revive its chapter by recruiting more students who would like to mentor. SWSG mentors volunteer an hour and a half each week to visit their sites and mentor the girls. College mentors also have the opportunity to be mentored by professionals who work in their future fields. These professional mentors work with the colleges mentees one-on-one as well as in a group setting. SWSG creates opportunity for girls over any age to learn, grow, and meet new people.
