To all the seniors who’ve dreamed of walking the graduation stage since the start of their undergraduate career. To all the seniors who’ve worked hard to earn the degree that they deserve. To all the seniors that have spent endless nights studying for that one exam, preparing for that huge presentation, or writing that final paper. To the ones who have been waiting for that moment to come. To the ones counting down the days left to graduate, to look at their parents and loved ones as they walk across the stage knowing that they’ve made them proud. To the graduates who have lost their last goodbyes and to the ones who lost out on their last, “lasts.”
This isn’t the ending that we had dreamed of, but we will walk across the stage and celebrate the hard work and the long hours of studying that we have devoted to our education. Graduate class of 2020, after the COVID-19 pandemic is over, we will be the strongest, brightest, and most storied class. We are the future.
To my fellow Carlow graduate class of 2020, we will persevere.
